Taguchi Tomoki was a Japanese woodblock print artist during the late Edo period (1603-1868). He was known for his detailed and realistic depictions of animals, and his work is highly prized by collectors. The print is part of a series of prints called Yatsuo no tsubaki, which means "Ten Bamboos."

Tomoki's art is distinguished by their use of simple tones, colors, and compositions. He transformed natural objects such as birds and plants into beautiful ornamental motifs.
